The Large Gray Babbler (Argya malcolmi) is a gregarious songbird endemic to the Indian subcontinent, primarily inhabiting open scrub, dry forests, and gardens. Among the largest in its family, it is easily identified by its creamy-white outer tail feathers, which flash prominently during its low, fluttery flight. The bird features a soft gray forehead with fine white streaks, a long tail, and striking pale yellow eyes. They hop and leap on the ground in search of prey. They feed mainly on insects but also feed on small lizards, molluscs and arachnids. They also feed on seeds, grains and berries.
