Indian Sambar (Rusa unicolor unicolor), Ranthambore National Park

The Indian sambar (Rusa unicolor unicolor) is a subspecies of the sambar that lives in India and Sri Lanka. It stands as the largest deer on the Indian subcontinent. Shoulder height of males is 120-160 cm, and 100-130 cm for males. Weight of males is 225-350 kg and their body lenght is 180-270 cm, while weight of females is 135-225 kg and their body length is 160-200 cm.
