Crimson Marsh Glider (Trithemis Aurora)

The Crimson Marsh Glider (Trithemis aurora) is a small, spectacularly colored dragonfly common across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. The male is unmistakable, featuring a vibrant, almost luminous magenta or violet-pink body and wings with crimson veins. This striking color is enhanced by a fine, powdery coating called pruinescence. In contrast, the female is olive-brown with dark markings, lacking the brilliant pink of the male.
