Indian Peafowl (Pavo Cristatus)
The Indian peafowl (Pavo cristatus), also known as the common peafowl, or blue peafowl, is a species of peafowl native to the Indian subcontinent. Celebrated as the national bird of India, it is famous for the male’s spectacular iridescent train. These feathers, marked with vibrant "eyespots", are fanned out in a shimmering display to attract females during courtship.
