Moses Ben Maimon Synagogue, named after the 12th century Jewish philosopher, was inaugurated on February 16, 2023. The Synagogue, which accommodates more than 200 worshippers, is the first to be purpose-built in the UAE with a large sanctuary, Mikveh (ritual bath) and Beit Midrash (study hall), is home to the growing Jewish community in Abu Dhabi. The elegant, timeless design of the Synagogue draws on the symbol of the tabernacle, a traditional shelter for prayer.
