The broad, rounded wings of the Crested Serpent Eagle are perfectly adapted for maneuvering through dense foliage, while its powerful, yellow-scaled legs provide protection against its primary and most dangerous prey: snakes. As a specialized "snake-eater", it possesses incredible patience, often sitting motionless for hours on a high perch before dropping with lightning speed onto its target.
