Rose-Ringed Parakeet (Psittacula Krameri)
The rose-ringed parakeet (Psittacula krameri), also known as the ring-necked parakeet, is one of the most adaptable and widespread parrots in the world. Smaller than its Alexandrine cousin, it is lime-green with a long, slender tail and a bright red beak. Adult males are distinguished by a narrow black and rose-colored neck ring, which is absent in females and juveniles. Highly social and vocal, these parakeets flourish within diverse habitats ranging from dense woodlands to bustling urban gardens. They are characterized by their agile flight and opportunistic diet, primarily consisting of seeds, grains, and various fruits.
