A Rabari Man Wearing the Traditional Clothing, Jawai, Rajasthan (India)
The Rabari are easily recognizable by their vibrant and distinct clothing: men usually wear all-white outfits consisting of a dhoti and a long-sleeved tunic, topped with a massive, meticulously tied crimson (bright red) turban. The turban is a symbol of their pride and status. Women often wear black embroidered skirts (ghagras), heavy silver jewelry, and veils (odhnis).
