At the highest point in the market square stands the impressive renaissance style town hall dated 1593. The town hall was built in this place during the rebuilding of the town after the fire of 1590. It is the symbol of Schiltach. The town hall had its striking corbie gable since 1905 and the wall paintings date from 1942.
