Sasbachwalden - Baden-Württemberg, Germany
The 'Floral and Wine Village' of Sasbachwalden is located on the western slope of the Black Forest, Germany with about 2,400 inhabitants. Sasbachwalden was chosen as the most beautiful village in Germany a few years ago. It is characterised by its heritage-protected villagescape with half-timbered houses and the unique floral decoration. Sasbachwalden was first mentioned in 1347 as a group of individual farms and houses. Only in 1817 Sasbachwalden became an independent community. Since 1973 the town belongs to district of Ortenau.
