Schauinslandhaus, Black Forest Open Air Museum, Gutach im Schwarzwald, Germany
Schauinslandhaus - a house from Schauinsland (elevation 1,100 m), built in 1730. The Schauinslandhaus is the only building in the museum entered through the side wall. Like the Hotzenwald, the Schauinsland area is characterised by little farms. The farmers supported their income with money earned through handcrafts. The woodworkers workshop set up by the museum in the Schauinslandhaus shows the typical kinds of things that were made, such as everyday wooden utensils like cutlery or bowls.
