Roman Tower at Haigerloch, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Built in 1150, on the south side of the River in Haigerloch, is the Romerturm. It is also known as the "upper" or "high" Tower and can be seen from most places in Haigerloch. Built as Keep in Romanesque style, it is not actually of Roman origin. It used to be part of the Citadel founded by the Counts of Zollern, who lived in Haigerloch. The Tower used to be timber framed, with a partly hipped roof.
