Lake Mummelsee, Seebach, Germany
The Mummelsee is a 17 m deep lake at the western mountainside of the Hornisgrinde in the Northern Black Forest of Germany. At 1,032 m above sea level, it is the highest cirque lake in the Black Forest. The more than 100 m high cirque face of the Hornisgrinde, at 1,164 m the highest mountain of the Northern Black Forest, rears up behind it.
