Dahshur and Giza, Egypt
Dahshur is an ancient Egyptian pyramid complex and necropolis. Dahshure, along with the pyramid complexes at Saqqara, Abusir, and Giza, forms the pyramid fields of the ancient capital city of Memphis. Dahshur is known chiefly for several pyramids, mainly Senefru's Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid, which are among the oldest, largest and best preserved in Egypt. The Giza pyramid complex is home to the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx. The Great Pyramid and the Pyramid of Khafre are the largest pyramids built in ancient Egypt.
