Middle Terrace and Porticoes, Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, Deir el-Bahari, Egypt
The middle terrace measures 75 m deep by 90 m wide fronted by porticoes on the west and partially on the north sides. The west porticoes contain 22 columns arranged in two rows. The reliefs of the west porticoes of this terrace are the most notable of the mortuary temple. The south-west portico depicts the expedition to the Land of Punt and the transportation of exotic goods to Thebes. The north-west portico reliefs narrate the divine birth of Hatshepsut to Thutmose I, represented as Amun-Re, and Ahmose.
