The Gran Teatre del Liceu is an opera house on La Rambla in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The Liceu opened on 4 April 1847. It was twice destroyed by fire: in 1861 and in 1994, but it was rebuilt each time, most recently reopening in 1999.
